No. 8 Wheaton (Ill.) locked down No 10 St. Thomas and Wartburg knocked off No. 5 UW-Oshkosh on the first day of Wartburg's annual holiday tournament while Whitman beat No. 16 Williams in Nashville.

With both teams playing their first game in 17 days, St. Thomas held a 56-50 lead over Wheaton (Ill.) with six minutes remaining. The Thunder scored nine straight to take the lead and, after the Tommies tied the game with a three-pointer, Hannah Considine's layup gave the Thunder the lead for good. The Tommies got two looks at potential go-ahead three pointers but missed both and Katie McDaniels' free throws iced the game.

In the second game of that tournament Wartburg knocked off No. 5 UW-Oshkosh 67-56. Kailey Kladivo scored 18 points, including the 1,000th of her career, and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Knights (9-1).  Wartburg plays Wheaton at 4 pm ET tomorrow while St. Thomas plays UW-Oshkosh in another battle of Top 10 teams.

Whitman came off the west coast to meet No. 16 Williams off the east coast at a holiday tournament in Nashville where the Missionaries beat the Ephs 70-56. Casey Poe scored 23 points for Whitman, including 11 in the decisive fourth quarter. The Missionaries held Williams to nine assists on 21 turnovers.

No. 21 Rochester defeated No. 9 Montclair State 61-53 at the Puerto Rico Clasico. The Yellow Jackets completed a four-game stretch against 2015 NCAA tournament teams with a 3-1 mark.

No. 2 Amherst shut down Salisbury 59-35 in a lopsided meeting of Sweet 16 teams from a season ago. The Lord Jeffs held the Sea Gulls to single-digit scoring all four quarters and 25 percent shooting in the game (12-for-48). The Lord Jeffs head to undefeated Albright on Monday afternoon.

Babson notched a quality non-conference win over Whitworth 70-62 at the Music City Classic. Kristen Ferola scored 20 points for the Beavers who improved to 7-2 with their fifth straight win.

Keene State set a new program record for wins to start the season. The Owls cruised past Worcester State 80-49 for their ninth consecutive win.

Lycoming knocked York (Pa.) off the list of unbeaten teams with a 50-48 victory at home. Shelby Mueller scored 13 points for the Warriors, including the game-winning layup with nine seconds left. TCNJ's reserves outscored FDU-Florham's 25-6 and the Lions defeated the Devils 59-56.
