Sixty-two teams have already been eliminated from the tournament,
some expected and some unexpected, some in dramatic fashion and
some in hum-drum drummings. Here's a quick look at the first two
rounds of the 2012 NCAA Tournaments:
2012 men's basketball

No. 1 Hope knocked
out
Illinois Wesleyan took down the No. 1 team in the country, handing Hope its only D-III defeat all season 108-101 in double overtime. More in the men's second-round wrapup.
Madness hits men's
bracket
Becker, Edgewood, Carroll, Farmingdale State and Trinity (Texas) all knocked off higher-seeded host schools in Friday night's men's first round. More in the men's wrapup.

The Lady Monarchs rallied late to upset No.
8 William Paterson and Carthage knocked off No. 4 DePauw in the
second round of the women's Division III tournament.
Sectional hosts went 16-0 in the first round
of the NCAA tournament, including Thomas More's late rally past
