After five seasons as Southwestern's head women's basketball coach, Pam Ruder has stepped down to pursue professional opportunities outside the school.

Ruder had a record of 63-76.

"I have enjoyed my five seasons at Southwestern University," states Ruder. "My passion for the game of basketball and having it played well is still very strong; however, I am ready to move on to other challenges. I wish the program all the best in the future."

The school will begin a national search for a new coach immediately. Ronda Seagraves, associate athletic director and former women's basketball coach will be assisting with the transition in conjunction with assistant women's basketball coach Julie Wilke.
