UW-La Crosse center Joe Werner took advantage of Isaac Rosefelt's absence from the lineup and shot 8-for-14 from the floor to help lead the Eagles past No. 4 St. Thomas 62-54.
The Tommies, who lost for the first time this season, led 33-27 early in the second half before UW-La Crosse rattled off a 7-0 run fueled by a steal by Chris Fehrenbach which led to a Werner basket and a Fehrenbach three-pointer.
